1. Wash and Soak the Rice:

Ø Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes until they are parboiled but still slightly firm (about 6-8 minutes).

Ø In a large, heavy-bottomed pan or a rice cooker, heat ghee or vegetable oil over medium heat.

Ø Add the finely slashed onions and green chilies to the skillet. Sauté until the onions become delicate and clear.
Ø Add ginger and garlic paste (if using) and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
6. Add Spices:
Ø Add the turmeric powder, red bean stew powder, and salt. Blend well to get the flavors together with the onion mix. Cook the Potatoes and Rice:
Ø Add the parboiled diced potatoes to the pan and cook for a few minutes, allowing them to pick up the flavors.

7. Add Water:
Ø Pour in 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil.
